Hi Guys
i am heartbroken at the moment, i don’t really know what to say, my daughter is 21 now & she’s been troubled all her life, it has caused plenty of heartache over the past 16 years when i met my new partner, her dad left us when she was 2 & she was 6 when my partner come in our lives but from the start she’s blamed her for everything that’s happened & still does, my partner has tried her best to get close to her but she never let her in & after this last episode that’s lasted 2 weeks of abuse its all got to much, she doesn’t like who she is & hates feeling this way & she knows she needs help, she won’t except that my partner loves her & has tried to support her all her life, we think she’s suffering from BPD can anyone recommend a self help book for her & what sort of therapy should she seek? many thanks x

Welcome and I am very sorry for your pain. It is great she knows she needs help and is willing.
Here are some resources for BPD sufferers:https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=304572
As far as therapy here are a few ideas:
1. Call your local crisis center. They can come out , talk to your daughter and offer a list of psychs.
2. Psychology today.com has lists of psychs.
Here is a post that may give more sources of psychs:https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=347207.0
Thanks for writing us, feel free to write as often as you have need.
