Some of the things my uBPDexw theropist told her - just curious if any of you have heard similar things.
1. She will always keep people at arms length and never let them in
2. She will have a closer relationship with a dog then she ever will a person (wife latter denied this statement)
3. We had 1 - only 1 marriage counciling session with this T (she told me that I need the dogs to help with my heart - my wife she told she needed the dogs to help with her mind) Funny - my heart was broken , but not my wifes - it was her mind
These are just a few -

Make no mistake, she could leave the dog just as easily also. My exw left me, her two biological children, her dog and the 8 cats that she HAD to have with no remorse whatsoever. Or if there was remorse, it didn't last the time it took for her to drive to the end of the street. Mine admitted that she could feel empathy for an animal but not a human. Keep your chin up Cal. Acceptance will happen eventually.

Wow--the connection with animals is amazing. I love my dog, don't get me wrong. But I was stunned when my exBPDgf told me she felt closer to her dog than she ever had to any human. That struck me as weird... . and sad.
