Just came to two more realizations... .

When we first started dating during the getting to know each other period she asked me what kind of TV shows I liked. I told her I liked informative and true crime shows such as Dateline NBC, 20/20, 48 Hours Mystery etc etc. She liked those shows too! When I moved in I brought my PVR (in the states I think it's called a DVR?) as she didn't have one. She explained to me before I moved in she would always go to bed around the same time she put the kids to bed - 8:00/9:00 o'clock ish. I myself am in bed quite early and when living together we were often in bed before 10:00. All those shows that I listed start at either 9:00 or 10:00PM so I would always set the PVR to record them and we'd watch them the following day after the kids were in bed as they were on to late to watch them "live". So in thinking back since she didn't have a PVR before I moved in and was always in bed before 9:00 at the latest... .  how would she ever been able to watch those shows? Lol?

Also, I'm a total homebody. I made that clear during the start of the relationship. I'd much rather sit on the couch in the evenings and cuddle up watching TV enjoying a coffee together or something. She was so happy as that was totally her too. I remember one time her saying "ok so answer this... .  it's a Friday night and your friends or co workers call and want to meet at a pub or something for a bite to eat or some drinks. Would you rather do that or just stay at home and hang out?" I said "oh without a doubt stay at home. I'm totally not the social type like that". She says "yaaay! Good answer, me too!". Looking back on her Facebook page over the course of last year one of the guys she dated was in a band and made his living like that playing gigs at local pubs and bars in town and other nearby towns. He would make an "event"  page on facebook for an upcoming show on the weekend or whatever. Guess what? I noticed many of these "events" on her facebook page that said "xxxx is attending so and so event". Hmmm, home body but you're attending all these gigs at local bars and pubs? I mean this guy couldn't have been any further from the polar opposite of me as far as lifestyle goes! Just amazed me to put these pieces of the puzzle together. I guess this is a CLASSIC case of mirroring? Wonder why I couldn't make these connections when with her. Makes me realize I wasn't all that special of a guy to begin with... .

Would you agree this is valid in terms of BPD and mirroring? Or am I just grasping for examples to justify it all?
