My dreams are changing

I've been NC with my exBPD for about 7 months; I left her.  Initially I had a lot of dreams, all different circumstances, but always the same theme: she was with someone else and completely ignoring me.  The dreams are less frequent now, but when I have them, they've changed: we're now talking civilly about relationship issues, and it's somewhat comfortable.

Not really sure what this means.  Has my mind found a way to lessen the stress of the rejection in earlier dreams?  Am I setting myself up subconsciously for a recycle, the dreams being wishful thinking?  Wonder if anyone has had this experience and what it meant to them.
