[How to communicate after a contentious divorce...]

Anyone know the stats on comorbidity of BPD + NPD? 

Mine is very high functioning and highly intelligent which can result in an even stealthier form of abuse because we don't recognize the layers, ripples, and myriads of abuse, inspite of our inner gut signals that something is off... ., as our inner core vulnerability to the attachment (trauma bond) gets rekindled.

I've actually gone the route of full on confrontation and education and expressed love, as we are on the divorce vs. reconciliation path.  I have presented her with the ultimatum, either submit to competent evaluation by someone trained in high functioning BPDs ( I didn't even know they existed) and treatment or we will proceed down path of a likely contested (unnessarily so because of her all-or-nothing stance) divorce coupled with her adversaril attorney.

At any rate,  I came across what i think is an EXCELLENT video on

Seeker, I don't have any links to stats, but I wouldn't be surprised that many high functioning pwBPD have some NPD traits. I think it may be a contributing factor to how they are high functioning versus the low functioning BPD.

I do know that BPD can only "work" with Narcissists since they feed off each other. They will still not be happy together but it is the perfect symbiotic relationship. Mine was BPD + some Narcissistic qualities. Her ex of many years was also a big time Narcissist and she was obsessed with him (although she also cheated on him).
