I am a little familiar with it.  It can bring out many things in men; not the least of which is emotional liberation.  Men are challenged to fight for themselves and, supposedly, become 'men'. As far as I know, it is a brotherhood where men can feel safe saying and doing what they need to do.

Of course, this can mean many things to many men.  Some come back from such a weekend with intent to solidify Relationship with their significant other, others come back knowing that things need to end.  This latter is NOT usually the case, as far as I know.  The content of the weekend is sacred; you may get some information when he gets back, but not a lot.

Mankind Project has been very, very valuable to the few men I know who have engaged in it.  Keep your faith, and know that everything happens for a reason.  I do Inner Journey work myself, which is kind of similar.  It has saved me, I can tell you.

Keep us posted!  I will be thinking about you and your situation

Thanks 1kitkat. Thats nice to hear. I saw many posts/blogs from people who said the mankind project changed their lives for the better and was life changing but also read some posts that really bashed the group calling it a cult and then there was the case of the guy who committed suicide after attending (possible BPD person). It will be very interesting to see how it goes for mine.

There IS a suicide case, and I've read the stuff about cult.  In fact, my own Inner Journey community probably came under scrutiny for the same thing although I haven't read about it.  It is good for me.  It makes me dig deep down inside myself, and that's good for me right now.

Just remember that (imho) everything happens for a reason.  I try to embrace the shocking stuff as well as the good stuff, and I try to reason it all out.  Let me tell you, I do a lot of thinking in the middle of the night!

All said and done, do let us know how this all turns out for you, Iwilldecide.  Again, I will be thinking about you this weekend!
