Hi there,

It's been about five months since I broke up with my gf (after having recycled 3 times in 3 years). My therapist told me this week he believes she has BPD. So since then I've been reading up voraciously on the subject. I'm feeling a lot more, well, sane... .I had been having a hard couple weeks after inadvertently hearing info about my ex's current life (which re-injured my healing again). Reading through these forums has been helping a lot, although it's a bit overwhelming to take it all in. And it feels like a new loss to process--that all that time I had been trying to interpret her reality by putting myself in her shoes and now learning that we have very different realities indeed... .

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello!

 Welcome

Hi josli,

I'd like to join Emilie Emilie and welcome you. I'm sorry to hear about your break-up and relationship recycles. It's frustrating and stressful and breaking with someone with BPD is incredibly hard.

I'm happy to hear you're in T. I agree it's a slow process and it's a lot to take in. It really takes time and I'm glad you found the family here.

Read as much as you can about BPD. Many members here share similar stories and can offer guidance and support.

I'm glad that you gave found us. Hang in there.
