My BPDWife finally got a job. It changed her lifeā¦for about three months. Then she started to slip back into the old behavior. The old wife is back. No explanation, no apparent reason. She looks like ___. She is trying to start fights. You guys got any ideas what happened?

How easily does she become bored? Perhaps the novelty of the new job has worn off and now she is unsatisfied with her life once more.

I think people can do the Black/White thing with jobs, too. At first it's all new and exciting... .then they start to pick at it and find all the problems. Dopamine, maybe, in the beginning? Novelty?
Don't we all do that with jobs, really, unless we train ourselves to focus on the necessity and the positives, and try to give it our best? (Maybe not all of us--but I can see it in myself and it's frustrating.)
Maybe it's just another example of a pwBPD looking for an outside fix, inside of looking inward. And, of course, nothing external is ever going to fix the internal loneliness and chaos.
