Have read the books, not sure what to do ATM. Son and Daughter-in-Law ... .DIL for short... (married for 2 1/2 years with a 15 month old baby), both are so 'angry', hot under the collar... .their marriage is failing... .fights, arguments, police called by both parties in fights... .separate / get back together / separate / get back together. Lovely grand-daughter, 15mth, I have contact with her and my son, but haven't seen or spoken to the DIL (just an acronym for Daughter in Law)... .She is too abusive, aggressive, constantly smear campaign, character assassination of my son to our family... .Playing the victim. She has just been given Aust. Citizenship, long story (married to son within 3 mths of meeting, then pregnant)... .I don't trust her. How will this affect my Grandchild. Our family support Son, as he is trying to make things work between them, but it is not working.

Cheers GJ

Hi, GJ,

So sorry to hear about the chaos in your son's life. Do you have evidence of outright abuse/neglect/unsafe conditions for your grandchild? Is this something that Child Protective Services (or your equivalent - not sure what it is in your country) should be involved in?
