My BPD ex left just over six months ago, since then she  has gotten a one year restraining order againstme, and moved to the other side of the country with my replacement. I recently found out all my stuff including my car is still sitting in the house from when she kicked me out. My question is why would she leave it and what's the point in keeping it from me? The house is also up for sale but since no one is maintaining it and the way she left it makes it highly unlikely that it will sell.

What did she do when you asked for it?   My ex held my stuff hostage for a week after she kicked me out... .she threatned me with false abuse claims and if I came near the house she would call the cops... .I pretty much flipped the switch and threatned her that I would call CPS on her... .got my stuff within an hour.  Still don't get it... .She kicked me out broke up with me and most likely replaced me... .so I waited a week sent her a pleasent txt asking if I could pick up my stuff... .which led to a full day of insane nasty txt msgs... .im not sure if she was trying to punish me or she was expecting a fight to get her back and was suprised I was done.

I called the sheriff to get it back. He wouldn't get involved as her father is head of the local precinct. When she found out flipped out and accused me of assaulting her... .I called her more level headed friend who I've known for years to see if she could help and was told not to contact either one of them again... .makes no sense valuable furniture and electronics just sitting there -_-

Lawyers can be expensive, but many will do a free phone consult. I'd ping a few and see if they have any recommendations.

I'd also avoid pining blame on the sheriff in any official forum -- written or in person -- as that won't help. Even if they are guilty of playing favorites, they can claim they were just staying out of a civil dispute. My sisters husband is a sheriff, and whether they get involved in something like that is often up to how busy they are that day. Your mileage may vary, but don't go into court (or file paperwork) blasting the sheriff... .Might backfire on you.

Just my opinion.

Already talked to a lawyer when I went through the restraining order crap, nothing in can do... .no copys of recites or anything so I'm out of luck... .just can't understand why she just left it all there.

Shes probably punishing you and believes her own lies... .maybe look into small claims court or cut your losses.  Consider yourself lucky that if she has police connections you werent arrested.
