In the place where we live there is a family we just know, and have no deeper contacts with. The woman of the family appears rough and tough. My husband privately calls her "a dragon lady". And she does appear rough and determined, makes me feel scary sometimes, but just recently I started to develop another opinion of her.

She has to be so, I don´t know if she has anyone inside the family with any kind of disorder, but her attitude is her survival, she lives with a traditionalist mother in law, four growing children, a husband who loves her but likes going out  with "the boys" and she works shifts in the hospital. Now I understand her and see the advantage of being rough and tough.

Such moments come to me from time to time and I find them very useful for my survival, but the problem is they don´t last. I feel very enthusiastic when I surf on waves of being determined, I feel I can cope with anything and then it blows out like a balloon.

It would be very nice if I could have these moments all the time, I cannot pretend them, I know some people can. Has anyone a similar experience?
