70. really not good. I guess I should care but after a positive few hours am back to my reality

Did you have to score yourself high for feeling bad about being depressed?  Those are the ones that keep me from hitting really high numbers because for some reason I don't take my depression as a personal issue, it's just another thing like the tree in the yard. There are many reports that depressed individuals have a better sense of reality and the extent of their personal power than non-depressed individuals. They realize they are in a ___ty spot with few ways to change it. "Normal" people always seem to think that their life is wonderful and they can do anything. Maybe somebody will start selling denial pills, that will make me feel better. Hang in there!

Dunno mate, I was as honest as I could be so I guess yes, I feel because I am an intelligent person and can see what I am dealing with I am letting myself down by allowing myself to become depressed. Maybe its a wonky way of thinking, hey, or maybe I am not intelligent as I think I am.

A therapist I am in contact with has just mentioned a UK charity called The Depression Alliance. She says it's a good website. I had a look. It gives details of a number of telephone helplines that could be useful, has discussions boards, information about contacting local groups and how to meet other people in a similar situation. I can't vouch for it because I have joined yet, but it might be a useful resource for dealing with those issues that are not connected with our BPD significant others.

Hey, thank you. Will look it up now. Have to admit I go from being worried about being depressed to not caring if I am or not. Not very nice. x
