married 12 years with little ones... head been spinningfor years and finally 15 months ago with help ofmy therpist realized my Wife has BPD... she found the book walking on eggshells in my drawer... read it and said "yep , that me" ofcourse that was the last time... i feel like im coming out of a Fog for the first time since married... and looking forward to finding some other people like me... and getting the stregnth to get out of this madness...
it is not uncommon to learn from your T about this. Often the healthier partner seeks out a T first. What is in some way encouraging is that your wife has some level of self reflection. But knowing is not doing.
You find this board is a lot about us Doing. First you learn and then you do. Knowledge is power but we are dealing here with behavior and emotions. Learning this stuff simply takes practice, building some sort of mental muscle memory. Maybe you wife eventually gets the idea that she also could learn to be better. Right now the door is open for you here .
