I have a question regarding Push/ Pull. Do people with BPD do this with all of their romantic partners? Or do they just  do Push/ Pull with the people they care and love the most?

In general, pwBPD do push/pull with everyone in their life (friends, co-workers, significant others), but especially with romantic partners.

My guess is they do it by far the most with romantic partners since romantic partners trigger all those abandonment fears.  But I know my BPD ex could not hold a job long either and probably had 6 different ones in 8 years so he definitely couldn't function in a workplace either.  He also had very few friends and weak relationships with his family.

Mine had push/pull with her dog too, so with me it was a given. But typically it is with those who they feel are closest to them because of engulfment fears.

Most do it with some degree to everyone but it seems to get worse the closer they are to you
