6th break up in 5 years

I am seeing a therapist to deal with a break up that seems to happen every 6 months. She feels that my ex (today) has the BPD traits and for the first time in the relationship its finally making sense. The part I am struggling with is the loneliness and empty feeling.

Hey pdc62, Welcome! I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling with empty feelings. How can we help? Can you fill us in a little more about your status with your Ex? It sounds like you have been in a break-up/make-up cycle of some sort. What makes you or your T think that your Ex has BPD?

Learn all you can about the disorder. Study, grow, shield yourself against further attempts at recycling. If she does have "traits" or meet the criteria for a diagnosis of BPD, you'll never fill that emotional black hole.
