My adult daughter is getting less able to care for herself. Don't know where to start getting her help. She won't do it. I can't let her move in with me. Feeling overwhelmed right now.

That is a really hard question to answer. My daughter is 28 and does not live with me due to being abusive, manipulative and all the other traits that go with BPD.
I have posted the same question, and have asked government mental health agency's, People tell me to look for low income housing, sober houses home less shelters. There is no low income anything, anywhere. Even sober houses are $$.
I am not sure what state you are in so would start with a group called NAMI. Although you may get the run around at least you will know what is out there for her.
Here is Calif there is nothing. Her dad is kind enough to let her stay with him, when she or things get out of control I'm not sure where she goes. She has burned every bridge and as far as I know has no friends.

I understand your feeling of being overwhelmed, throw in some guilt and then it becomes very paralyzing.

Sorry to say if she wont do it and you do it for her she will screw it up just to make you feel bad and manipulate you.

I wish I had better better news but this is all I know from my experience and reading others with the same issue on this board.

Please reach out to me when you need support, I have been down every road BPD brings...

They are excellent but start at 50K a month. I called and they do not to any kind of financial aid, or take insurance, who on earth could afford this?
Good luck to you, try NAMI and look for a therapist who is actually certified in DBT . Also on NAMI look for Family Connections. There are many out there that say they are but are frauds. You have to be super careful as many mental health facilities are just money makers who keep the people doped up and calm.
