... .and here are some thoughts that are fresh in my mind.

1) as someone with co-D traits I struggle with what I actually want. I have been working on this and when you start to focus in rather than out things slowly would seem to become clearer.

2) Now that you know what you want (let's say) the knack is now to present these ideas to one's SO. This is a totally new and exciting concept I am working on. I am not being facetious.

Actually I'm off  for a new hip.

Bye EG

Earlgrey

Excellent points
1) as another co-d traits, I know I struggle with what I want.  I have allowed so's to determine my wants for me.

2)  congratulations and good luck. I hope you have figured out what you want and I hope you are able to achieve those wants and goals with your so.

Good luck on your surgery, best wishes for a quick recovery.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!  My mom had her hip replaced recently and was out of the hospital in 5 days, although it took her several months to recover.

If you have down time to read, anything by Brene Brown is really excellent.  I am re-reading her book The Gifts of Imperfection right now.  She also has a great Ted Talk, if you enjoy those.

Let us know how surgery goes when you can
