Just getting out of a relationship with BPD - and can relate to the accounts that everyone is writing here. Looking to help make sense of my experience.

Welcome to bpdfamily!

It can really help to read others' accounts and know that you aren't alone. A lot of us have been through similar experiences. The Lessons, linked in the box on the right, were also a big help for me to understand what happened in the relationship.

How are you feeling about the end of your relationship?

If you feel comfortable, please post more about the relationship and maybe we can help you make some sense of it.

Hi  lucedj11-

And welcome!

Yes, making sense of what we went and are going through is part of the challenge as we detach and heal.  Can you tell us your story and post any burning questions you have?  Telling your story can be cathartic, and there are plenty of folks in the same boat you are who can share some wisdom and experience.

Hi lucedj11

Welcome to BPD Family.  Yes, reading through everyone's stories is very helpful.  I can relate to just needing time to absorb even the possibility that my ex had a "disorder" (which was a brand new word to me at the time)

There are some great people here that can help with what you are going through.  Do you want to share  a little more about your story?
