I can't believe it took me this long to figure out!  Things are in place but still walking on eggshells, and feeling I know but partner does not know I know?  Advice?

Hi, Reginon, welcome to the family!

30 years is a long time! I hope you can tell us more about yourself. When you find out, there is a time of adjusting, it's not making sense and then everything is solved. We all have been a time looking at things "the wrong way", and that has its own momentum, a lot of authomatic reactions that have to change over time. So, the first advice is: be patient. Don't get overwhelmed by the amount of information, and don't get discouraged when things don't look up inmediately.

The knowledge and making sense of things it's like a sugar cube getting wet, you dip a corner, and in time, all the cube is soaked, but this is way slower. It takes time for the new understanding to affect all the aspects of your life. And at times it will seem like going backwards. Be patient, because it works.
