Hi, I'm posting after reading Stop Walking on Eggshells. Have identified my aging mother with probable BP disorder, explaining most of her hot and cold behaviors, moodiness, etc, which has intensified as she has aged and pulled away from society with her aging and death of my father.

Hi Francini!
Welcome to our online family! Sounds like you found some helpful information in
Stop Walking on Eggshells
. How did you feel after reading it? Were you relieved, angry, validated? I know when I first read about BPD that I was shocked yet relieved that maybe, just maybe I had finally put my finger on why things were never quite right with my uBPDm. I asked my sister to read the description because I craved for someone else to see the same thing I did, and when she read it, she cried.
What types of things do you hope to work on or learn about as you wander through our site? There are so many other members here who can understand because we are all in similar situations in that we have a pwBPD in our lives. Do you have siblings? If so, what do they think about your mom? Have you been able to share with anyone else about what you've read?
