I am married to an amazing woman whom I love dearly.  We have three children and a great home.  However every now and then she turns into a person I don't care to be with, mood swings, blaming etc.  It has the whole family scared.  I want some help, I feel trapped.  I want my life back.

Hi Roger1,

Welcome and hello  Smiling (click to insert in post) Glad you found the site, and sorry for the grief and sadness that brings you here.

Being on an emotional roller coaster is common for people with BPD, and like you describe, it can be scary to experience the mood swings and blaming.

What is one of the aggravations you are coping with at the moment? Maybe we can walk with you and tap the collective wisdom here for skills that might work.

Is your wife diagnosed?

Hi Roger1. As LnL said, welcome. If you can share a for-instance of the kind of behavior that scares your family, someone here will no doubt relate and offer information, links, advice, etc. to help you regain a sense of control over your life.

It can feel darned encouraging just to hear someone say "oh yeah, seen that" and to realize you don't have to be a silent victim to whatever drama is going on.
