Hi BPD Family,

I'm the preteen son of an undiagnosed BPD mother. She is definitely NARCISSISTIC, with hUGe RAGE issues. She blames my dad for everything and never admits she is wrong - EVER! She has fooled everyone: her therapists, my therapists, family therapists, my school Psychologist, both sides of our family, and our friends and neighbors into believing my dad and I are the problem. She has ZERO EMPATHY and constantly puts EVERYONE down. She is tearing our family apart. Please provide your encouragement, our family desperately needs it!

Thanks in advance,

Hi Spy_Crab,

It sounds nerve-wracking that your mother is doing the blame game and apparently has so many people fooled, even the school psychologist. Above all, stay safe. I also had the experience at 13 of a counselor not seeming to listen to me (or not picking up on my mom's oddness), so I shut down and told him generic things. It's not a good place to be in.

To participate in board discussions here, however, members need to be of at least 18 years of age.

You are, of course, free to lurk and read, and I encourage you to check out the Tools pull down at the very top of the board and also the articles on Parents with BPD. https://bpdfamily.com/portfolio-parent (especially the Karpman Triangle).

I wish you peace in your journey.
