I don't know what the balance is between keeping the peace and feeling comfortable in my own home! My 82-year-old mother had to move in with me because she was asked to leave two facilities within 6 months. Now she and her BPD have taken over my house. If we don't let her have her way 100% of the time its a knock down drag out fight. I work from home so there is no place for me to run.

Hi and welcome to the board. It sounds like you have your hands full. I am sorry for that but glad you found us as many of us here can relate to having a disordered parent.
What was going on that she was asked to leave the facilities?
Does anyone else live with you?
I hope to hear more from you. in the meantime, feel free to jump in and post and read. We all help each other here.

I'm so sorry that you find yourself in this situation. I recently retired and moved into our retirement house, where my 92-year-old mother has been living for three years. She does not have a PD, but there are residual PD traits from having grown up with an uBPD/BPD parent. So we might be navigating similar waters here. My mom does not rage - she pouts, and it blows over in 24 hours.
What options do you have for caregiving?
