Dealing with BPD in general

He was recently partially diagnosed with BPD he's had depression and anxiety for years, on top his Dr has put him on 2 new meds in the last month the last med she has added is a mood stabilizer. He's been on it for only 8 days but he's had extreme headaches, and there is only a little change in his mood. I know he doesn't mean to push me away but he's actually been more negative. Any input suggestions or insight greatly appreciated...

Welcome to bpdfamily!  I'm sorry to hear that you're coping with BPD, but am glad you've found us.  This is a good community to learn in and in which to get support.

It can take quite a while for drugs to take their full effect.  Did his doctor set any expectations about how long it might be before the two of you would notice any difference?

Can you tell us a little more about your relationship?  How long have you been together?  Do you have any kids?

My uBPDw (undiagnosed BPD wife) started on some anti-depressants a few weeks ago. She too was having some bad side effects so the doctor reduced the dosage. It might be helping reduce the intensity of her episodes but too early to say.

What do you mean by partially diagnosed, and how did he come by the diagnosis?
