Hello.  I just read The Essential Family Guide, after finally accepting that my husband has BPD.  I denied it for a long time, calling it narcissism instead, until a friend of mine sent me an article on male BPD.  I felt like the author followed me around for a day! I could no longer deny what was happening.  I found this book, and it's like Randi followed me around for a day!  I feel so much more empowered, now.  I'm looking for support as I start reclaiming my self, and hopefully my marriage.  Thank you all in advance for simply being here.

Having this particular light bulb turn on has a myriad of effects - at least it did on me.
In any case, welcome to the family that you didn't know you had.

Thank you for every kindness. Thank you for our children. For your guts, for your sweetness. For how you always looked, for how I always wanted to touch you. God, you were my life. I apologize for everytime I ever failed you. Especially this one...

Hi and welcome to the board though I am sorry for what brings  you here.

We all work together to heal and find better ways of coping and interacting with our pwBPD (person with BPD) or BPD traits so please jump in and read and post.

If you had to pick just one area you wanted help with, what would it be?

Thank your for the welcomes.  It feels good to be acknowledged and not alone.

I would like support with starting to set limits, as I'm very anxious about this.  What have your experiences been?  Tell me about your difficulties, and success, and failures too.

Hi Andie

Welcome to our family.  You may want to take a look at the “Tools” section and do some reading about setting boundaries if that’s where you’re looking to start.

It will also help us a lot if you provide some background, detail and specifics on areas of your relationship/ behaviors of your H where you’re having the most difficulty.  Going long is fine.

This is a very safe space to express it all.  Looking forward to getting to know you.

Warmly,
