How do I survive the mood changes? I feel like I am drowning in pain. I walk on eggshells (Yes, I've read the book and it is excellent) but I feel like I am the one going crazy. My words get twisted around, if I express my self, it hurts him, he suspects me flirting with others... I feel very alone. My husband is a brilliant, accomplished man that everybody adores. We've done counseling twice and once it focuses on him, he's done. We are both retired. I am his 4th wife. 6 years married.

Welcome kit, I only found this website a few months ago and became more active on here recently. The people here are so wonderful and supportive, and I have personally found that has really helped in my relationship with my bpd wife. I feel less alone because I have these supportive friends on here who understand, something I have of course been denied in real life. At the moment it is meaning that my wife is less able to upset me and I feel a little bit stronger. And somehow when she doesn’t upset me, that means things go better between us. I really hope it helps you too, being here with us.

Hi KitWelcome new member (click to insert in post)

Welcome to our online family. There are so many here who understand, so keep posting and reaching out.

I would encourage you to focus more on you than your pwBPD at the moment. The mood swings are tough, and they can spiral you down. So take time for some self care and strengthening in order to help restore your sense of well being. To see yourself as a separate person from his moods is important.

Here is an article that you might find helpful that speaks about mood swings:
