Hello All,
I discovered this site and it hit me that this could be helpful. I am another heartbroken parent of an adult child with BPD and this is a particularly hard day for me as it is my granddaughter's birthday. Her mom, my daughter, and I have been estranged for a year and a half, which means I haven't had contact with my granddaughter. Before this, she (granddaughter) and I have been quite close and have spent months together since her birth.
Something tells me others on this forum understand this scenario . . . .

Thank you

Hi reaching out
Sadly you & I share similar situations, I truely understand your pain, confusion, and hurt. I just finished making an honor donation in my 9 yr old grandsons name for a bday gift - have no idea like all the other Cmas & bday gifts over 2 yrs, if he will be told.  I encourage you to find a great counselor to help continue working through this FOR YOURSELF. AND YOUR WELL BEING. It has been so helpful to understand  this behavior horror of BPD & know I can’t change it, only my daughter can make adjustments & participate in therapy. Please check in again!
