Help understanding what’s going on

Does this happen to anyone else? My pwbpd is coming off a split. We have only seen each other two times in the last three weeks because he needed “space.” We finally made it to the other side and talked all week and planned a whole weekend together. I just got a text, and it said he wasn’t feeling well and was canceling. I told him I was ok with just coming over to sit with him, and he said that I promised to give him space when he asked for it. I said you’re right, but you’ve had space the last two weeks. I miss you and was looking forward to this weekend. He told me I have no empathy, and that’s his decision. We went from seeing each other 4x a week to this. I don’t think he’s cheating, but doesn’t he even consider how I feel when plans are constantly broken? He’s been texting every few hours to say he loves me but that’s about it
I asked to see him and he said no. I asked if he needed anything and he said “I’m fine”

Hi and welcome
It's hard to say. Maybe he isn't feeling well or needs time to process his emotions.
This article
could help. Try respecting his decision and let him know you're there if he wants to reach out. Take some time to yourself and enjoy the week.
