Before you can make things better, you have to stop making them worse... Have you considered that being critical, judgmental, or invalidating toward the other parent, no matter what she or he just did will only make matters worse? Someone has to be do something. This means finding the motivation to stop making things worse, learning how to interrupt your own negative responses, body language, facial expressions, voice tone, and learning how to inhibit your urges to do things that you later realize are contributing to the tensions.

Well its been 3 and a half weeks since i broke up with my exBPD fiance. Its been a really rough ride first 2 weeks, since i ended it with her shes been with multiple men, fell in love with a homeless man moved him in the apartment, stole all my stuff pawned it all and yet showed no remorse. She started meth again and blames me for everything from her cheating behind my back to stealing my stuff. I found out from one of her friends she bashes me all the time and blames me for everything. Now thats just half of it.

But what I'm really saying here is that yes its very hard on me, Ive had sleepless nights, thoughts of suicide, questioned myself was i at fault, and constant depression. Now with help of this site and therapy for myself i can see light at end of the tunnel. I'm taking a huge break from dating doing things I love (music, airsoft, metalwork, xbox 360). There are days where I have setbacks I know I got to remember to fight through them. Ive asked myself where would I be in 5 years or 10 years with her and the answer was always nowhere it was a constant struggle. Yes i still love her and care for her but at the same time I got to move on or it will eat at me.

So thank you all and i wish the best for everyone. This site is awesome!
