I wasn't planning to mention to my uBPDbf that I suspect he is borderline. I really wasn't. I've been advised by many people not to. But tonight it just sort of happened and he was actually very receptive and in agreement! I feel like a million pounds has been lifted off of me. Maybe it helps that he has a medical job. I really don't know why I'm in the small percentage of people who successfully addressed this. He is overwhelmed and yet relieved that there's a reason for how he feels. I think it helped that I read everything I could get my hands on before addressing it. He was impressed with my research. I'm elated. I see the light at the end of the tunnel even though it's a loong tunnel. I just had to share and once again thank everyone for being here.

Glad to hear that your conversation went well, Angelnme. Perhaps this is a turning point and he will seek the help he needs to remain more stable.
I am so grateful for the moments of clarity when my uBPDbf really seems to understand just how awful things get when he's dysregulated~~but I don't hold any hope that he'll not dysregulate again~~it does, however provide insight as to what I need to do to maintain my own sanity when it does happen.
