Thank you waverider... . I see what you are saying... . he is just relentless... . and on a roll right now... . I llike saying "I can only imagine" and will use it from now on... . but right now, though it is not me he is mad ag he can't seem to stop raging... . havent seen this in a long time... . I am not engaging and I am deflecting... . but the constant flow of negativity and raging about the situation that is totally absurd is resulting in painful low back pain and head aches for me... . so I have to figure out how to survive this... . thanks for the help!

I understand how continuous complaining, even if not at you, is completely draining and gives you headaches. Make sure you get plenty of good sleep.
