Frustrated with my dd's psychiatrist
«

DD14 has been in a behavioral center after telling another adult that she didn't feel safe with herself on Tuesday night! While there she has seen the on call psychiatrist each day. Yesterday Dr. S***head said this to her, an abandoned and adopted child who has major abandonment and rejection issues:
"Why do you keep talking about your biological family?" "They never loved you or cared about you!" :'(
OK, this kid is finally sharing her concerns, her yearnings to know her biological family and where she came from and he says this? You had better believe I am reporting this to someone when she leaves on Monday!

Bio: I can't believe he actually said that... . I mean I know he said it, I just can't believe it. Jerk is putting it mildly. I wanted to jump through the computer and slap him. I am glad you are reporting it.

Unbelievable! Jerk is too nice a word. No matter what, it is best to put things in the best light for adopted children.Anyway, how does he know that no one cared for her?.So sorry this happened to your daughter.

Bio
I feel so bad for your dd and you... . i think this is example of this P not really knowing about BPD and how to help... . terrible but not all P's are the best... . just like some medical doctors are not very good. I would question where your dd is right now and the level of care... . take care... . thinking of you
