Caring for aging parent 'helped' by sibling with likely BPD

Hi all 

I came to these boards two years ago and went straight to 'Leaving'. I was trying to work my way out of the damaging effects of a brief interaction (two month 'relationship' with a man who has strong BPD/NPD traits.

But I've stayed reading and occasionally posting on the boards in an effort to better understand and work through FOO issues.

The major thing I'm trying to process at the moment is the lingering effects of having spent five years trying to care for an elderly parent 'helped' by a sibling who has their own PD issues. All this happened some time ago now. And it might be best if I were to air my issues on the PI board. But I just wanted to put my toe in the water here and see if there's anyone out there who's been through anything similar.

I still feel reluctant to 'talk' about this stuff. And yet I know it's vital to do so.
