Projection:
I can never trust you again= I can't trust myself.
You were never vulnerable with me= I am unable to be fully vulnerable with you.
You didn't know how to handle me= I don't know how to handle me.
You were hard to date= I am hard to date.
I am afraid you will leave me for someone else=I am afraid I will leave you for someone else.
You were never "in the present" with me= I was never in the present with you.
You are self absorbed, vicious and vindictive= I am all these things towards you
I don't ever want to see you again. You are toxic and not good for me= You should never see me again. I am toxic and not good for you.
We are best friends, we make better friends than lovers, this is good= I know I am your best friend. I've found someone else and this way I have you hooked in as my back up.
You don't really know me= I don't know myself.
We are too different=I am too different to be in a loving relationship with you.
I love you very, very much I will always be there for you= You love me very very much. You will always be here for me.
We should see other people= I should see other people.
You don't know what you want, you are not ready for this relationship= I do not know what I want. I am not ready for this relationship.
You pulled away from me= I pulled away from you.
These are some of the things my ex said to me. A lot were projections. What are some of the projections that were said to you?

Where to start?
1.You are manipulative and distort the truth
2.You have no self esteem.
3.You make everything out to me my fault.
4.You overanalyse things and then blame me.
5.You want everyone to think you are the victim
6.You over-react to everthing.
7.You are pathetic and worthless.
8.I cannot trust you anymore.
9.It's all about you,you never see me in this.
10.You are hard work and demanding
11.You don't listen to people.
I also got :
I cannot give you what you want
I cannot forgive you for arguing with me
Our split would have happened anyway
Talking is pointless and overrated.
I care about you and that is why I listen to you
I hate you and that is why I can't listen to your crap.
You have caused all of my stress.
I can no longer talk to you for "self preservation reasons"
You are a bully.
You project onto me then reverse project.
God, the list is endless. And I took it all.

you do nothing around the house = i do nothing around the house
i always thought you would be the one to leave = i'm leaving
i can never talk to you = i have a profound problem with communication, and when i do talk you don't agree with every word i say
you should get into therapy = i should get into therapy (literal translation: "i'm just the way i am but you have to change"
you don't support me = i don't support you
you think it's all about you = i think it's all about me

Earthangle... Trying to figure out a code of what is said and translate it into what it really means is,to me, an exercise in futility. Seems to me that it really is rumination. Trying to make sense of senselessness. The bottom line is the actions don't match the words.
When she told me that I never loved her she could have been projecting that she never loved me. One thing that really gets me is this... .no one but me is qualified to tell me how I feel. How could she tell me what I felt? She is only qualified to speak for herself. It could have been her projecting. If it was then her words matched her behaviour.
