Hi all, I hope the New Year finds you happier and healthier! I just have a question - I am in the final stages of leaving my BPDbf. I found a job, it's temporary but will serve the purpose for now. I also borrowed a small amount of money and bought a very inexpensive car. I am moving on - but I do not feel love, hate or any strong emotion at all for SO. If he is around here during the weeknights or weekends - fine. If he isn't - fine. It doesn't seem to affect me either way. I don't know if I'm numb because the feelings I had weren't real or because my mind has decided I'm too fragile to deal with it or because I went through way too much to give a crap anymore. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I was numb for four months.

Then the depression set it, it was more of a challenge.

Just be prepared, and have good resources for support, like a good T.

Try not to rely upon friends too much, you may alienate them when you hit (or if you hit) the downs.

Thank you love4menotu for the very good advice! As soon as I am out, I will prepare for the depression and find a good T. Also I had not consider the affect this will have on my friends should I rely on them too much - Thank you!
