My daughter's therapist recommended DBT Selfhelp online for her to learn about her diagnosis, but it hasn't been updated in a while, and istn' interactive--which I think she would need. Does anyone know of a good online support for the teen with BPD?

Yes!

Find Debbie Corso BPD  on you tube .

Her website is

HEALINGFROMBPD.ORG

her videos on you tube are so hopeful and encouraging.

She spent many of her young years in hospitals and highly symptomatic.

now - she no longer fulfill the criteria of BPD.

She has healed and is in recovery due to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Please look up her videos. She is the new voice for BPD hope.

Glad u are here

Hello GardeningMom!

Welcome

Welcome to the Parenting board!

Which on-line DBT have you tried? This one I have heard is good (hope it's different from the one you have already tried): www.dbtselfhelp.com/html/dbt_for_BPD.html

It sounds like your daughter is open to working on getting better? That would be wonderful news! Most people who commit to working hard in therapy actually DO improve or even become healthy enough to not be diagnosable.

How are you as parents coping?

Let us know how we can help you, this is a great place to come and re-charge, share, and find support in our not-so-typical family situations... .
