Agree, it was hard to admit at first that I was looking for pain relief, once I saw that, with the help of a T, the healing began. There was no way a mentally healthy person would have got into my r/s

My T liked it when I created word pictures to describe what I felt. Little me was in a playground by himself and when my ex came along, she wanted to play with me with the same exuberance as I had. At last I had someone to play with as a little boy! We had so much fun, loved playing the same games and laughed and sang and then one day I went back to the playground and she was gone, I kept going back and going back looking everywhere for her, but she was gone, never to return

The last 5 words?  I think from everything I've learned about these boards there were two wounded people involved in the dance; two wounded people who were looking for pain relief in another person. Not so much a "hunter-prey" situation.  Unless your ex was sociopathic... .
