Good News - One step closer to freedom

I figured I'd try to lighten the mood around this place and share some good news that happened to me today. My ex took care of the last bit of her end of the separation agreement. Granted it took her 5 months but hey, the lawyer didn't have to get involved so that's a big win. And I didn't have to remind her or deal with her about this, so that's another big win. I just need to head to a notary on Monday to sign the title of her car over to her (I bought it for her) and that's it. Then it's just a waiting game for the year to be up to be divorced, which will be in October of this year. I still say there should be a mental health, get out of jail free clause to the wait-a-year divorce law in my state but c'est la vie I guess. It at least gives me time and space to heal and regroup.
All I know is that when I got the e-mail this morning about the car paperwork, I jumped up from my desk and started high fiving my coworkers. I hope all of you are able to get a little good news like this soon.

That's awesome Billypilgrim, I'm sending you a high five too! I live in Canada so we have to wait a year for the divorce too... .I'm counting down the days, just a little over two months to go! And then I have to have him served with the papers and I don't even have a clue where he is living or working and have zero desire to contact him as I've threatened him with an RO if he contacts me again. So not looking forward to that part or how I am going to deal with it! But will hopefully be over soon!
