My adult sister seems to pretty clearly have BPD.  My therapist is the one who has tried to help me understand the reality.  I have been reluctant - partly because it a depressing idea, but also because its hard to imagine that my sister's troublesome behavior is a "thing" that is known. Its just seemed so awful for all these years... .  i am just new to the group and interested in learning.

Hi sisterhell ,

Welcome to our online community  Accepting the reality of having a BPD family-member isn't easy and I can very much relate to your reluctance to do so.

I am glad you have the support of a therapist to help you deal with all of this. Having a support network can greatly help in situations like this.

Could you tell us a bit more about the behaviors of your sister that lead you to believe she has BPD? When did her troublesome behavior start?
