how quick she could flip

Im having a decent Sunday night. Sunday nights are tough because when ex gf and I lived together Sundays was one of thr nights we had thr kids. We would make dinner and relax play games or whatever. She would help tuck them into bed.
Anyway something popped into my head. It is amazing to me the caring, sweet and thoughtful side my ex could have. I have a bad lower back and if she ever saw me grimace or whatever she would give me thr best massage ever... .like professional grade. I worked retail and she would massage my feet and we would lay on thr futon and id rub hers as well at the same time and we would chill or talk or watch netflix. She would do little things that showed she cared and loved me and do jt for thr kids. She could be very compassionate. She always wanted to tale care of her man as she said.
But then something little could switch her to the dark side (using my best Darth Vader voice). It was scary I remember the first couple times it happened I just played it off as maybe she had a bad day or something. Of course then my codependency traits kicked in and I lowered my shields instead of enforcing my boundaries.
Its sad to know that both people resided in her.
I dont know how it came about but ONE of my best memories of all of us she happened to give me a foot bath. .pedicure. ... .thats right im a man and it felt great. Well my son and daughter then wanted sone and she gsve them one. We all were laughing and having a great time.
Or when we would all play cards together on sunday night or ex gf and I would play tummy and talk for hours like we did when we first met.
Look I live in rreality and I know that the longer I would have been with her the fewer the good times. And im sure now those times have been deleted from her long term memory bank. Unfortunately I have a great memory. Im happy for those times. Wish she wouldve been able tobe the one.
It was so scary how easy the switch was for her.
I wonder out loud if there are things we did together thst she still does in her life now because of me. Habits she adopted. Maybe some good from me and my children can soothe her somewhere.
