My mom...
«

My sister is due to have her first baby this weekend. Due to a history of bad behaviors and choices, she has terminated her relationship with our mother. She has also asked that I not give our mom any updates about the baby.
My mom called last weekend and asked about my sister, I told her twice my sister has asked that I not share information about her. My mom hung up on me and then immediately began texting me... .
She is going to make me out to be the bad guy when I don't tell her my sister has had the baby... .I hate this! She did it to herself.

You are not the bad guy. It's not your responsibility to triangulate between your sister and mom and she has no right to put you in that position. If your mom wants updates, she can reach out to your sister directly. She is not entitled to dragging you into this.

I agree with Sarahgirl. My family does not want any info shared with my uBPDsis which I sometimes think is stupid--like it a national secret if someone got a job or something. I understand this is soo hard since people often share info between relatives. But I have learned the hard way to say "You have to ask them about that",etc. Believe me I have learned the hard way since now some people started limiting info to me due to my contact with the uBPDsis even though I was not really revealing things. Your mother has to work things out with the sis and keep you out of it. Good luck!
