I lost my mom to a stroke 9 months ago, but lost my real mom to BPD 10 years ago

I wrote this blog post in the hopes it may help others. It's the first time I've published anything revealing that mom had BPD. I was leery to do so, but if it can help one BPD loved one understand they aren't going crazy, that it isn't them, then it's accomplished what I had hoped. I miss her every single day. But I miss the mom I had when I was a kid. Not the one I had as an adult.

When she passed, she left a path of destruction. She spent years pitting her own kids against each other. I am, thankfully, still close to one sister. Unfortunately I rarely talk to my brother and my other sister and I do not speak. All thanks to our BPD mom.

I will always love her... .but I don't miss BPD.

Having just read your blog it’s well put together and presented. I expect you'll smash your target of helping one person. One question, I've often read about BPD getting better or worse, but never witnessed it. Do you have any reading material that explores this phenomenon ? The people I know with PD, have always been consistently difficult. From my reading the condition requires a gene and forms around the age of 3 or when empathy is first learnt (or not). Hence it must be a question of degree rather than cure ? I would value any reference material you know of, as I’m curious.
