My problems pale in comparison

You know my ex gf leaving me three months ago seems huge. And for me it has been painful and struggling to understand and wishing she would return. But in that time:

An old high school friends son killed himself

A coworkers daughter just had a baby prematurely and the baby died

A friend from church was diagnosed with colo-rectal cancer. Looking at a year of treatments

Another coworkers husband died before Christmas.

Even when I look at her life she's virtually broke, living off someone ten years younger to survive. No place to call her own. Etc

Another co worker fell and broke her hip

Another friend from college is going through a nasty divorce and was Just laid off.


So really, my problems pale in comparison.  In fact you could argue I'm the lucky one

I have my health

A house

A decent job

More stuff in the house than I need

Good friends and family who care

A good female friend (former girlfriend) who is stable, good family relations,

Has no issues, and truthfully loves me if I can get over my ex

And other blessings too.

And you could argue I dodged a bullet.

Since she's had two failed marriages and other failed relationships too

But still I love her and hope she returns one day if I'm being honest.
