Hows this for a little test.

My ex definitely cheated on me with my replacement. It also became clear she cheated on me with a person from her emergency services volunteer unit (I think this was a one night thing) just as she was starting to devalue me.

Now I work for the government (emergency services) and every 6 months, people who earn awards take part in a big ceremony together, get their awards a tonce and it's a nice day.

So this guy got an award for something and they put a big group picture on our government intranet homepage. So EVERY TIME I open a web browser at work for the next ~2 weeks, I'll be welcomed to a picture of the guy who cheated on my wife... .not cool life... .

So my first reaction is just exasperation. It's bad enough I'll be moving to a town of 40K people soon where he lives and I'll occasionally bump into him in the streets (I guess) but this is very unfortunate!

My plan? Use it as a tool to detach further. I'm not going to let it affect my work day. I'm going to ignore it and try to ignore any thoughts it stirs up.

Does he know that you know?

I would be so so tempted to give him a "knowing" smart a$$ smirk when I saw him Laugh out loud (click to insert in post)  That would make anyone squirm!

Change the default home page of the browser to "blank page" then you won't have to look at that nonsense.

Yeah found his number I called him directly and confronted him about it. It was the 10 most awkward minutes of him telling me to talk to my ex-wife about it. I just basically told him if nothing happened just tell me instead of stalling so much.

Then I told him he had no integrity for not telling me the truth and that was it. I didn't feel good it was awkward for both of us =(

Ugh yeah that does sound awkward.

I like C.Stein's advise to change your home page Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

That is as good as an admission of guilt in my book.

Oh yeah I told him that too. If you had nothing to hide it would be a 2 minute phone call max. I'll try the blank page suggestion. I hope it doesnt try and tell me I need administrator privelage to alter it.
