Almost ready to give up dealing with uBPD Mom after discussing Hurricane Matthew

The last month could have been a roller coaster for me. I have been through my share. I think I weathered it well. I have been taking things one at a time and seeing them step-by-step

* I use hBPD rather than uBPD. My Mom has not been evaluated for BPD, but I have a professional hypothesis from a therapist who I discussed the relationship with. She assigned me the eggshells book. At the next meeting when I told her how many things in the book were Mom, therapist was certain.

Hit post before I finished typing and when I tried to fix it, the board gave me an error. Will try again.

Hi
todayistheday
Did you and your uBPDm have a big disagreement about the hurricane? Sometimes it doesn't matter what the topic happens to be at the moment when it becomes a battle that you don't want to fight. Can you tell us more about what happened? What do you mean when you said you are almost ready to give up? Perhaps you are considering going NC or LC at this point in your life.
My mom was also an uBPD and many times I wanted to put my fingers in my ears and run away. I never knew about boundaries while she was alive, and they are still quite new to me but I am beginning to have success in setting them now.
Let me know how you are doing!

Hi todayistheday,
You didn't give up, and I really like how you're giving yourself some credit for getting through the last month, even though it sounds like it was tough.
Like Wools, I'd love to hear more about what happened and how you managed. What kept you focused?
