Daughter with BPD and been in treatment for over a year

Our daughter has been in treatment after a serious overdose almost took her life last December.  She should be completing treatment in January, coming home to parents home, lost employment, etc.  Any guidance on what to possibly expect and best ways to know when/to what extent to help her get her life back on track?

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

Welcome to the family, good to meet you.   

It sounds like we are on a similar journey treatment wise, what next, them finding a way of life that works for them - though my 29 DD has lived at home all through. She voluntarily gave up work last December to focus on DBT as she knew the treatment was to cease come this summer and wanted to get the most out of it, her work was getting in the way, exhausting her. It's been a full time 24/7 effort her picking up the skills, practising etc and therapy. 

I've kind of gone with my gut feeling and stood back, she's had 4 months without professional support and is doing well - she has her moments, challenges, doing ok. Yes there was trepidation how she'd cope without support so far so good. Put work in the mix and well, time will tell.  It is on her mind to get out there, today she's been referred to an organisation that helps people get into volunteering/back to work so that's the plan for 2018. She's working at her own speed just like she has during treatment, so hoping she'll find her way.

As with this whole journey, it's small steps and they are hers, I hope DD feels ready and able to give it a go and ease herself back in to volunteering/work after NY. Gee, I never thought I'd be saying that this time last year.

That's a lot of change for you, your daughter coming home, completing treatment - how are you all feeling about that? Has your daughter spoken to you about the future?
