Needing guidance

Mypartner is younger than me and has BPD.  Her cycle is chaotic during most days and as such loves me overwhelming or has really nasty nmood swings.  Im in recovery from alcohol and drugs and she is constantly relapsing and self harming by cutting.  I really love her but she can drain the life right out of me

I'm sorry to hear of the difficult situation you are in, but am glad you have found us.  This is a great place to get support and learn coping tools.  Can you tell us a little more about your situation?  How long have you been with your partner?  Do you live together?
