Hello Everyone,

Do you know of any studies or verified connections between BPD and conditions that of often diagnosed with an underlying mental cause.

I have accumulated a a lot amount of experience around those with Fibromyalgia,  CFS /ME, Lyme Disease, multiple chemical sensitivity disorders, and a host of other terrible things.

Tragically, many people with these conditions are told they have a mental disorder and to see a psychiatrist.  I have seen un-diagnosed physiological issues present symptoms of these conditions / diseases, and when the issues is discovered, the symptoms improve.

Conversely, I feel that often people with legitimate mental illness are mis-diagnosed with these conditions and they see years of medical treatment without any improvement because the underlying issue was primarily physiological.   I have noticed an uncommonly high number of highly sensitive people diagnosed with the conditions listed above and I am wondering if any of you know of or have noticed these conditions in pwBPD.

I know this is not a health forum, but id like to know your personal experiences.

I believe based on evidence have witnessed, that highly sensitive people are more likely to have psychological trauma present physiologically simply because they may be more likely to feel trauma deeply.  Also, highly sensitive people seem to be subject to adrenal fatigue because there systems are being shouted at by the world... .loud noises, bright lights, smells, mean people, etc.  Adrenals running on high means an under-active immune system leading to more instances of issues with chronic infectious diseases - Lyme, and many other infections.  Its sort of like the small zebra that gets eaten by the because it fell behind the pack. Highly sensitive people, (perhaps PwBPD) May be more susceptible to emotional and potentially physiological illness.

Your thoughts and experiences are welcome please.

Thanks
