So I went to the Bettering a r/s board for a short while.
I tried the r/s again armed with awareness and knowledge thinking that now the r/s could work. Wrong. The ex was no different and I realized that I did not want to walk on eggshells the rest of my life.

This time I do not feel sad, I do not need to isolate, I do not need to strike back at the ex.
I am just glad it didn't take too long to figure it all out again.
I feel that I only regressed a little from where I was June 8 when the ex contacted me and I responded.
Onward now with the rest of my healing. I will finish reading 'Stop Walking on Eggshells' and 'Loving Someone with Borderline Personality Disorder", I am continuing with my Coda and I will continue reading and learning here. I will reinstate full NC.
I am very hopeful for a healthy future.

Hi NorseWoman,

Welcome back and sorry it didnt go as planned. Anything specific that was the icing on the cake you want to discuss? If not that's fine. Maybe at least now you know for sure that you need to keep moving forward.  You eliminated any doubts.

I'm glad you didnt fall too far behind. From your other posts you seem to be strong and doing well. So keep it up!
