My significant other and I have a three-year-old daughter with I believe has borderline personality disorder. In fact I'm 100% positive he has mentioned it in the past but now denies of course. He has been incredibly  physically abusive in the past but it only happen when he drinks. He is an alcoholic, however his drinking is about once every two weeks or so now. I have set the rule in the home that he cannot be her if he does. I don't think he'll ever quit drinking. I do love him very very much and we have been together 6 years. I am beginning to understand borderline personality disorder more and I believe that it is a little easier to understand his behavior and deal with now. He is absolutely wonderful at times and he is my worst nightmare at others. How do you handle the splitting and blame?
